PRACTICE POLICIES

QUALITY

We aim to provide the best possible family medical service. To do this we are continually reviewing this practice in four different ways:

•  How do you, the patient, see the practice? We welcome comments and suggestions and try to respond to your criticisms. If you have a particular problem please see our Practice Manager.

•  How does this practice compare to others? To assess this we take part in State and Nationwide surveys run by The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Quality Care Programme.

•  How can WE improve General Practice?
We believe that this practice has lots to teach doctors of the future. To do this we need your help and hope you will agree to see medical students during consultations. If this makes you uncomfortable, we are happy to see you without students.

• Do you have a concern with our service?
Please feel free to discuss any problems with the principal doctors or contact our Practice Manager at any time to discuss your concerns. The NSW Department of Health runs the Health Care Complaints Commission (Locked Bag 18, Strawberry Hills 2012. Ph 9219 7444 or 1800 043 159) to solve problems they can not, or where you are not satisfied with what they have done.

We treat all patients medical and personal information as confidential. This is set out in our privacy policy which is available from the practice.

If you don’t like the things we do – please tell us, but if you like what we do please tell your friends.
